Reader in Photography and Relational Practices

Emmanuelle Waeckerlé is an interdisciplinary artist, composer and performer working with the materiality and musicality of language. Her practice emerges between image text and sound, between poetic scores (that also exist as artist publications) and occasions for their activation (installations, performances, workshops), always seeking to deepen our connection with our interior or exterior landscape and each other.

Her scores and music are distributed by Edition Wandelweiser Record. She is a member of the London Experimental Ensemble and founder member of Bouche Bée improvising trio.

She exhibits and performs regularly nationally and internationally and has works in private and public collections including Bibliotheque Nationale de Paris, V & A,Tate Britain and the Saison Poetry Library in London.

Emmanuelle is a Reader in Relational Practices based in Farnham, and director of bookRoom research and publishing platform. Her research interest lies in in socially engaged performative and participatory strategies, écriture feminine, reading as an artistic practice, and artist publishing. Between 2007and 2015 she was part of the small team running the Centre des livres d’artistes in St Yrieix, France.
