MA Fine Art Canterbury student Melanie Jordan exhibited in Intimately Familiar, a group exhibition created for and by emerging artists.
Displayed in the Aviary of Cobham Hall school, this exhibition addresses how artists view the world. Calling into question things which we are familiar with and how it may change through an individuals creative lens. It explores the intimate relationship an artist has with their work and how this is translated to the viewer, allowing them a glimpse into the artists mind.
This multidisciplinary exhibition consists of 11 emerging artists work, each with a unique perspective of the world they live in. This exhibition aims to create a dialogue: challenging the audience to reconsider their version of what is ‘intimately familiar’ and bridging the gap between an artist and viewer.
