MA Fine Art Canterbury students curate group-exhibition at Joseph Wales Studios, Margate

“I make art about…”

December 3rd – 7th, 10am – 5pm

PV: Tuesday December 3rd 10am – 9pm

Alumni student Alex Walton, Anna Skutley and current 2nd year part-time student Kim Conway are curating a group-exhibition at Joseph Wales Studios in Margate. The exhibition by UCA MA students and alumni examines the multi-disciplinary nature of contemporary artistic practices.

An exhibition by UCA MA Fine Art students and alumni experiments with what it means to talk about art, giving insight into the unexpected things that inform contemporary artists. With a programme of talks that expands on their research, it looks at how language is intrinsically linked to artistic practice. Rather than bringing these artists together under one theme, “I Make Art About…” creates a collage of work that explores the implications of the fragmentation and reconstruction inherent in group shows.
