CHLOE DEWE MATTHEWS IN CONVERSATION WITH ANDREW KÖTTING
Thursday 8 April, 7pm – Whitechapel Gallery Online
The acclaimed photographer and film-maker launches her new photographic bookwork THAMES LOG – exploring the many and diverse rituals attached to the Thames, from source to mouth. She will be in conversation with renowned multi-disciplinary artist and film-maker Andrew Kötting, whose own films engage repeatedly with the waterways of the UK, from the river to the Channel and beyond.
A selection of their related short films will accompany this event, and will be available to view free, globally here from Friday 2 April to Friday 9 April.
These will include Chloe’s films London River Burning (2018) and Offshore Broadcast (2016); and Andrew’s Buoyed by the Irrelevance of Their Own Insignificance (2016), Jaunt (1995) and Swandown Artefacts (2012).
